This is for my sponsored walk on my First Lung Birthday and in memory of my very brave willing donor. Without whom I would no longer be here. I wish i knew more about them, and could thank them and their family, but alas this is the best way I can pay by respects and help others to be as lucky as I was. Every penny helps.
This time last year I had very little time left to live, and having three false calls for transplant already, I was pretty certain that my time was going to run out. I was lucky enough to get a fourth and final call, and had my double lung transplant and have had a full recovery. A year ago I could not walk around the house without my litres of Oxygen following me around. Now I can walk to Whitstable with all of you and enjoy the sea side, something I was sure I would never see again.
