Story

Right guys, so most of you know how much of a massive animal freak I am, and in time would love to work in conservation/rehabilitation of wildlife. I've been lucky enough to have a taster working in a big cat sanctuary (thats lions, leopards, tigers, etc for those of you who immediately thought domestic cats) and absolutely loved it. Not only was it brilliant from a personal point of view, but it was a real experience to see how hard the guys behind the charity work themselves and how much they rely on donations to keep the cats happy and healthy. As a thankyou for generously letting me volunteer at WHF I've decided to try and bring back my cross-country days and run the Sheffield half marathon - a pretty big feat for someone who occasionally indulges in the weekly netball game and a twice-annual run. I would be eternally grateful if you sponsored me to run these thirteen miles, and I can assure you it will be for a good cause. These beautiful cats are really on the verge of extinction and as a biology student currently doing a module in conservation and writing a dissertation based on it, I can say there really is no hope for them without help from us. Instead of me just repeating what WHF do and their values I will post the link;

http://www.whf.org.uk/index.esp

Now for the pleading and begging: please please PLEASE donate a few quid so you can feel good about yourselves and help the future of these amazing wild animals. Forgive an old cliche, but every penny counts! Much love to you all x
