Story
Hey Guys, I'm sure by now you are all well aware of why i started fundraising for Macmillan and the amazing adventure i had in Peru. (yes i climbed the mountains)
Since my fundraising journey began i have learnt so much about how kind, caring and supportive people really are. Not only were my family and friends complete super stars helping out with carboots, quiz's, cake eating, folding numerous raffle tickets and turning up to all my events, as were my local community, each event had me overwhelemd at how much support not only me but Macmillan had.
I also learnt alot about myself... 1 - I do NOT like camping, 2 - How much i enjoy fundraising, 3 - I'm more organised than i thought, 4 - I'm still rubbish at maths and 5 - How one word, idea can turn into a passion that will live in me FOREVER.
Everyday i count my blessings and remind myself of how lucky me and my family were to not need the fantastic help and support Macmillan have to offer.
However unfortunately i still see and feel the effects cancer had and has to those around me, friends, family, loved ones and in some cases complete strangers. How many of us can say we don't know or "know of" anyone who is currently trying to cope/deal with Cancer.
SO this is where i come in... i figured if i can raise over £7000 in just under 12 months then there is no reason what so ever for me not to continue.
So my target has been increased to £10,000 yes thats right 10 GRAND!!! :-)
I'm not 100% sure how im going to do this, whether it will involve another challenge or two, a few more quiz's, another elf night or some brand new FUN events but one thing is for sure I will do my damned hardest to make sure that in everyway possible i will help Macmillan continue doing the amzing job they already do!
See you all at the next event!
