The Rocky Road · 8 June 2018

The DPJ Foundation is a Welsh charity to support those in rural communities and in agriculture with mental health problems. We do this by reducing the stigma that surrounds poor mental health, educating people with mental health awareness training and providing counselling and a 24/7 helpline.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

My youngest son Jay  and I are taking part in The Rocky Road walk on 8/9th June, to raise awareness of mental health and suicide, in memory of my cousin Lee "Rocky" Rogers, who tragically died last year.

We will be walking 13 miles from Slebech Park to Saundersfoot, starting in the darkness at 10 pm and finishing in the light at approx 5 am to represent moving from the darkness of depression to hope and light with the support of family and friends.

This event is organised by Lee's wife Ana, to raise money for local mental health charities and to raise awareness of suicide. She wants to ensure that her sons grow up proud of their dad and in a world where mental health problems are properly understood. Suicide is the biggest killer of men under 45, please help us change this.
