Story

Dear all,

I know I do a lot of these charity runs and you're probably all getting sick of me but this one is the biggy...I'm hoping to complete the Manchester Marathon (my very first marathon) in April 2012 for 'Crohn's and Colitis in Childhood'. This is a charity that helps to fund research into Crohn's and Colitis so that those that have been diagnosed or not yet diagnosed can be helped. They work closely with the research teams to ensure that money donated can bring real benefits to those suffering from these two incurable diseases.

As most of you will already know, somebody very close to me was diagnosed with Crohn's disease a few years ago, which is why I have chosen to raise money for this charity. He was taken into hospital time and time again over a 2 month period with them not being able to work out what was wrong with him. They finally discovered it was Crohn's disease a few months later and after a few operations and a tough year or so, he's doing really well now.

A lot of people out there will be in this same situation struggling to get a diagnosis, and your donations can improve this. By donating you will be funding research into Crohn's disease and Colitis for young people so that people like Dave can get diagnosed quicker and not have to suffer quite so much. I hope that you can join me in supporting this charity and contributing to the great work it does with young people suffering from Crohn's disease or Colitis. Please dig deep and donate now.

Thank you for your time, and wish me luck!

Nicola
