STR ATFORD UPON AVON TRIATHLON 2012!!!!
Ok I am little scared now I have registered!!
200m Swim - 23km Bike - 2.5k Run
Why am I doing this?:
It all began in September 2011 with my mission to regan my pre-children figure and target weight! Throroughly enjoying cycling with my biker chicks Jo and Steph along with Running, Spinning, Body Pump, Pilates and other sporting activities, whilst having lost nearly 4 stone to date, and getting slightly fit again in the process! I have now decided it would be good to have another goal to aim for - Stratford upon Avon 2012 Triathlon seemed to fit the bill!!
Why CCHF All About Kids Charity?:
The Triathlon event is about challenging myself and is not a sponsered event - so the next step was to set up this page and choose a chairty to support. Not having any direct links to a specific charity, I wanted to support a smaller less well known charity and being a mother of 2 naturally wanted to support a childrens charity and lastly, one being in the UK. I spent quite a long time scrolling through on justgiving site and looking up several charities and came across this one. Please have a look at their site http://www.cchf-allaboutkids.org.uk/aboutus.htm the support they give are things our children take for granted every day but yet are so important. Their work really touched me and I am very happy to beable to support the charity whilst doing this event! CCHF is a charity which I truly think makes a difference. They support children who are growing up in some of the poorest and most seriously deprived areas of the UK, many affected by drugs, poverty, alcohol, isolation and physical and mental abuse. CCHF provides a programme of residential activity breaks for these children, having many beneficial effects. £300 will pay for one child or young person to have a 6 day break at the residential centre, so please help by sponsoring me!
