Heidi's mums story ...
Our gorgeous daughter Heidi was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia (ALL) last September at the age of 2.She is now 10 months into a 2 and a half year treatment programme .
She has coped brilliantly with all the Chemo , lumber punctures, blood transfusions,hospital stays etc . She is finally reached the maintenance stage of her treatment .
CLIC Sargent is a charity that have supported us , in so many ways .. Via community nurses which enable some of Heidi's treatment to be carried out at home / nursery ( she is now well enough to return for a couple of mornings a week ) - via a dedicated social worker who has helped with so many aspects of family support .
We are also aware that , although Heidi's prognosis is excellent , not all children with cancer will have the same outcome .We know that CLIC Sargent offer an amazing support network to all the families they touch and they want to extend this support to EVERY family affected by childhood Cancer .
