We grant life-changing wishes to children with critical illnesses.

Story

Nicola: In January I lost my closest friend Emma to a terminal medical condition after she fought a brave battle, defying her prognosis over and over again. We had over two years to say goodbye to each other and we made that time count with some memorable experiences, lots of fun and far too many laughs. I couldn't do anything to 'save' Emma but we got to have some great times and create many happy memories. I'm undertaking these challenges to raise money to give others the same opportunity.

Make-A-Wish Foundation UK is a charity that raises money for children and young people in a similar position to Emma to give them the chance to live their lives to the max and forget, just for a little while, about how ill they may be.

And so to the challenges:

2nd May 2015 - Isle of Wight Challenge, a 106km walk around the Isle of Wight coast. Non-stop, no sleeping and 33 hours.... Yes, really! The two of us spending that long together, walking all day and all night, now that is going to be an interesting experience.

And just because it isn't already mad enough, Nicola will also be doing the Southampton 10k on 26th April as a 'warm up'!

Please support us by sponsoring us to undertake both of these events to raise money for Make-A-Wish Foundation UK and to mark the memory of Ems, who is the inspiration behind this crazy challenge.

Thank you
Nicola and Susan
