Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my Just Giving page...

I am getting muddy all in the name of charity. Yes, I am a little mad, but you will know that if you have met me, either way it’s for a great cause and I hope you want to sponsor me. Below is a bit of detail to explain what I will be up to and how worthy I am of your money…

The Wolf Run is Wild Running - a unique combination of three kinds of off-road running: mud runs, trail runs and obstacle runs. The only Wild Run in the UK, it’s a hardcore 10k run across raw natural terrain, including open ground, woodland, lakes & thick mud.

It’s all about the experience of Wild Running™ - running wild and being 100% involved in the experience. The Wolf Run is not a race; it’s a physical and mental challenge!!

I will tackle a series of seriously tough obstacles - both man-made and natural - designed to test your mental & physical strength, skill and stamina. Running, climbing, jumping, wading, crawling and swimming through a course designed to challenge you on every level

Picture’s will be on facebook, so you can have a good laugh at my expense and it will prove I actually did it.

I have chosen to support Walking Matlida – Which is a charity set up specifically for Matilda, who is a 2 ¾ years old little girl. Matilda was diagnosed with Spastic Diplegia Cerebral palsy. This means basically that her legs don't work properly so she is unable to walk unaided and have to rely on a walker to help her. The really unpleasant thing about it is that it hurts where her muscles cramp and this means Matilda can't sleep properly either, she also get tired really quickly so find it difficult to play with my friends. I want to raise money to support Matilda’s  Mummy and Daddy who are raising money to take her to America where they can operate to make her CP affect her less. Matilda’s legs are slowly deforming as the spasticity gets worse and she is finding it harder and harder to walk, even with a walker. Matilda has a special buggy to help her when I am outside and tired. Matilda has also been fitted with a splint for her leg which has to be worn day and night.

Matilda’s dream: “One day I would love to wear sparkly shoes rather than the special ones that have to be made for me. Please donate so I can live an independent and pain free life”. Please, please help me raise money to help this beautiful little girl to achieve her dream!!!
