Story
Thank you for visiting my JustGiving Page in memory of Michael Stacey also know as Dick to many people, Dick Stacey was my Grandad and I could not of wished for a better one. My Grandad would do anything for anyone, he always saw the good in people. My Grandad has done his fair share of work for this country he has served in the army, fostered many children and also taught the police on their national computers. My grandad should of retired but instead he carried on working. My grandad was a excellent role model for anyone he met in life. He was certainly my role model. Many people who knew my Grandad would agree that he used to tell little jokes that only he would laugh at he was also very dirty minded!
We found out in July that my grandad had secondary cancer in his bones ( hips, spine, knees) that then progressed to cancer in his left lung. My granddad cancer was very progressive but we did not realise just how progressive. My Grandad was offered palliative radiotherapy he went for his first session 9th September where he had 8 high zaps, then on the 10th Grandad went into Myton hospice where he spent his last couple of days.. September 13th my grandad passed away breaking our families heart. My Grandad spent 4 days in Myton Hospice the nurses made my grandad very comftable in his last days. They was brilliant with us the family talking us through every step, offering help and support if we wanted it. I have always wanted to do a sky dive so I thought why not do one in memory of my Grandad and at the same time raise money for the Hospice that looked after him. Raising money for them will help them provide more care for other patients and their families. Please help me get to my goal of £400. Thank you
