Motivated by the strength and unfaltering sense of humour of our youngest daughter Poppy, we as a family are committed to support The Lily Foundation and help find a cure for Mitochondrial Disease.

Story

This years personal challenge is to Climb Mont Blanc.

Mont Blanc, meaning "White Mountain", is the highest mountain in the Alps and the highest in Europe west of Russia's Caucasus peaks. It rises 4,808.7 m above sea level and is ranked 11th in the world in topographic prominence.

Why? I'm very fortunate to have what I have and i'm very grateful, each year I hope to give something back to those less fortunate or face challenges out of their control. This year, and for the second year running i'm delighted to support the Lily Foundation.

The Lily Foundation was founded in Lily's memory, having lost her battle to Mitochondrial Disease at just eight months old. The charity aims to give hope, answers and support to the many other children and families that face the challenges of this disease today.Did you know every twenty minutes a child is born who will develop Mitochondrial Disease by the age of 16! There is no cure for this disease which is for many, debilitating and life limiting. Please stand with us and fight Mitochondrial Disease and fight for hope.

Please give what you can, I hope to stand proud on the summit of Mont Blanc on the 2nd July 2019.
