On 24-25 October, clad from head to toe in lycra, Ed Haig-Thomas and I plan to cycle off road across the Yorkshire Dales for Unicef, the chosen charity for the 15-16 Clipper Round The World Yacht Race, and partner of a yacht entry in the race.

As two commuting cyclists who average 24 miles a week, we’re not under estimating how painful the 102 miles and 4525 vertical meters of the Dales might prove to be, but that pales into insignificance when compared to the challenges being faced on a daily basis by far too many children around the world. 

Together with your help we hope to make a difference, no matter how small.
