Story

************** I am sorry to say that because of health reasons I have had to withdraw from the VLM this year *******************

Thanks you for donatig so far I hope to find another event soon.

Thank you for donating to my cause so far.

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I am running the Virgin London Marathon on 22.04.12 to raise money for Kidney Research UK, In September 2011 my son Ian was diagnosed with Minimal Change Disease, at the age of 21 ( He spent his 21st birthday in hospital undergoing tests for nephrotic syndrome.) . He has shown such determination and dignity against a background of needles, tests, and high levels of fluid retention. I am justifiably proud of him for the way he continues to deal with his condition.

Yesterday 17.01.12 Ian started a new course of treatment aimed to damp down his immune system and to stop the protein leak. Again his whole attidue , always remaining polite and positive was a real credit to him when facing this type of treatment and its side effects.

He is going through a lot at the present time, so please dig deep into your pockets or behind the sofa, anything however small will help those with his condition.

Please sponsor me so that more funds can be used to help those with Kidney disease in the UK. It is really appreciated by me and my family and especially by Ian himself.

Thank you for reading this and considering a donation, anything you can to get and to keep me running, in summary "Run Fat Boy Run" - Thanks Nigel
