Well, I made it! Sunday 29 November, starting on a hill overlooking the skyline of Florence in brilliant sunshine - hard to beat.  Over the next 26.2 miles we went through the centre twice, past the cathedral and the Ponte Vecchio, and finished outside Santa Croce - a sort of tourist route.  What a great place to run a marathon.
