Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page in memory of my late father Doug Bruce who passed on 13^th May 2011.

Dad was diagnosed with mesothelioma in May 2010. Mesothelioma is a cancer that affects the lining of the lung. As this is an asbestos related cancer the family believe he contracted this whilst in the Navy as a young man.

The charity I wish to give to is HASAG - Hampshire Asbestos Support & Awareness Group a UK based registered charity providing advice and support to sufferers of asbestos related illness and diseases.

The two sisters who run this charity assisted and comforted my dad throughout his illness with advice and support. This is my small way of thanking them, but more importantly making sure that such a worthy charity continues to help those who are suffering and for the families facing difficult times ahead.
