Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

This year I undertook two events to raise money for the British Skin Foundation (BSF).

The first was the Cambridge half marathon on 11th March 2012. My challenge was to run the 13.1 miles in less than 1hr 45mins and I was delighted to finish in just under 1hr 36mins (14/167 in my age group! - what age I hear you ask?).

Training for the half marathon was the start of my preparation for my second and bigger challenge. In the early hours of Friday 19th October 2012 I successfully reached the top of Mount Kilimanjaro in Tanzania at a height of 5,895 metres or 19,341 feet. This was a lengthy trek over 7 days in equatorial to arctic conditions with the accompanied risk of altitude sickness. It was the most challenging task I have done but it was well worth it. A BIG thank you to all who have sponsored me but for those that have not, it is not too late to do so!

All the money raised goes to the BSF. Once you donate, your money goes directly to the charity and Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate So please donate now to help this worthy cause.

Thank you. Nigel
