Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
When I was invited to join Team Street (a group of guys that I have had the good fortune to meet) and complete the annual Bloodwise London to Paris ride, I thought, why not? A four day group ride and it's only just across the Channel and I live in Canterbury. They didn't tell me that we were making it a bit 'different' in 2017 and planned to ride from Paris to London first and then ride back to Paris with the 'main event'! Slightly under 625 miles in 7 days. We're even doing the Paris London leg in 3 days so we can include a more direct route but with more hills!
The reason for the additional effort is all down to my friend Paul Street, celebrating (is that really the right word?) his 10th year of remission having been diagnosed with Leukaemia out of the blue during a period when he felt 'a bit off his game' and sought the advice of his GP - thank God. His story is here:

and there by the grace of your God, go all of us? Bloodwise is a fantastic charity that leads the way in research relating to the real and ever present risk of leukaemia in the UK - it's up there with breast cancer and heart disease (both charities that I have supported previously).
Timing couldn't be better - I celebrate my 63rd birthday the day before we ride into Paris for a well earned beer but it doesn't come without a huge amount of effort and the great organisational skills of the Bloodwise charity. Every little helps and I'd ask every one who reads this to give something - it will all be gratefully received.
Thanks in advance!
