The Lost Hours Walk 2021 · 30 October 2021 to 31 October 2021 ·

It's time to unite against suicide. 125 people take their own lives every week in the UK. That's not ok. This October, we're taking to the streets across the UK to walk against suicide.

Story

This year I am aiming to raise money for the charity CALM by participating in “The Lost Hours Walk” in London, walking for 20 miles through the night on Saturday 30th October 2021. Please sponsor me.

CALM (Campaign Against Living Miserably) is a charity which provides a free and confidential helpline in the fight against suicide.

Sadly, and shockingly suicide takes the lives of 125 people every week in the UK. Not only is it the loss of the individual who has taken their life, but also the enduring pain for their parents, brothers, sisters, children, partners and friends. Most of us probably know someone who has been affected by suicide and we read or hear too often the heart-breaking stories of those who have been lost.

The reasons why anyone would reach this point are complex, sometimes the signs are not easy for us to see, but having someone to talk to could be the beginning of a journey from what might feel like no hope to wanting to live. Approx. The charity CALM is there to help.
