Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I’m taking part in this year’s Rugby Triathlon event (Sunday 30th August), my first triathlon for far too many years, having been thrown the challenge by my younger brother (but given that we’re both in our late 40s we can hardly call ourselves youngsters!!).

I’d like to take the opportunity for some good to come of this event (other than the incentive of showing the rest of the family just who is the fittest!!) and so I'm looking to obtain sponsorship for a cause close to my heart, Macmillan Cancer Support.

  • Macmillan fund specialist nurses for a wide variety of cancers, including breast, blood, bladder, stomach, women's and head and neck. They also fund specialist nurses in palliative care and a psychologist. They all provide information, emotional support, symptom control and pain relief for people living with cancer.  In addition we fund the Macmillan lymphoedema service
  • Macmillan Benefits Advisers help people to understand their entitlements and fill out lengthy claim forms, reducing the burden for the patient. On average, a patient helped by one of our advisers will be around £2,350 better off through benefits and other awards as a result.

They need your help to continue to fund this vital work. Together, we are Macmillan Cancer Support.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So please dig deep and donate now.      Thank you!!!
