<p>Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.</p>
<p>I along with a few of my close friends are once again doing the Manchester to Blackpool Ride in July. We are a group of Bolton based Mountainbikers who ride for fun and friendship (and the reward of a few cask ales :-). Last year, we swallowed our pride and took to road bikes & we cycled for The Christie raising over £2000. (We didn't stoop to wearing Lycra though!). </p>
<p>This year, we want to ride for Bolton Hospice & we are making the ride even more interesting by doing the official Manchester to Blackpool 60 miler but also adding on another 40+ miles by riding back to our home town of Sunny Bolton :-). We reckon this will be in the region of 110 miles in total - so quite an achievement for a set of fat, nothern middle-aged blokes (FNMAB's) who just "don't do roads."</p>
<p>For the record, I do have personal experience of the fantastic work that the Hospice does when my dear old dad spent his last days in there, in 2008. The level of caring, love, patience and sheer humanity that this organisation provides has to be seen to be believed & this not only extends to the patient - but also to the families of patients. Simply, it deserves all the support we can muster.</p>
