Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I have decided to run the North Lincolnshire half marathon on Sunday 6 May 2012 to raise money for Scunthorpe Neo-natal Intensive Care Unit.

Our daughter Ava-Grace was born in Sheffield on 6 September 2011, nearly 14 weeks early. She weighed 2lb 1oz (922g).

When she was 5 days old she was transferred to Scunthorpe General Hospital's Neo-natal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). She went on to spend 10 weeks and 4 days here until she was discharged on 24 November 2011. We couldn't have asked for any better care for Ava or support for us.

We (Lindsay and I) would like to show our thanks for the work this vital and dedicated unit does by raising money that will help other babies that are born too soon or too poorly.

Ava will be 8 months old on the day I run. Please take a look at my photos which show her journey so far.

I would really appreciate it if you could support me in my quest.

Many thanks, Nige, (Lindsay & Ava)

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So please dig deep and donate now.
