Royal Parks Half Marathon 2009 · 11 October 2009 ·

We help people diagnosed with a brain tumour. We aim to give everyone diagnosed access to the resources that will put them back in control. We enable brain tumour patients and carers to become resilient and to utilise brain tumour support resources from all providers to their full potential.

Story

I have agreed to do the "Royal Parks" Half Marathon on Sunday, 11 October. I will be achieving a PB simply because I have never done one before!

The task ahead of me is daunting, not least through age and exercise being restricted to a jog to the car! However, I am determined to finish and to attempt to make a difference to other peoples’ lives.

I am running with Nick Keen, Paragon’s FD and great personal friend, and we are both supporting Brain Trust. Nick’s step-son was diagnosed with a brain tumour the size of a tennis ball but after successful surgery, an ongoing chemo programme and a fanatically determined mother, he is doing really well.

It would be great if you could support me in this run. Sponsorship, a few people to carry me round or just your best wishes would all be gratefully received.
