London to Amsterdam Football League Challenge · 6 June 2014 to 8 June 2014 ·

Prostate Cancer UK has a simple ambition - to stop men dying from prostate cancer. Through shifting the science over the next 10 years to focus on radical improvements in diagnosis, treatment, prevention, and support, we will stop prostate cancer being a killer.

Story

Prostate cancer kills one man every hour. Men United v Prostate Cancer aims to challenge this strike rate. It is time for men to come together, as Men United, against the common enemy of prostate cancer, one of the UK’s biggest man killers.

Men United is a growing team across the UK, getting the message out there about one of the UK’s biggest man killers, supporting men affected by it, and raising funds to find more reliable tests and treatments for the future.

Joining Men United is about men standing together, from the terraces to the pub and beyond, to say, quite simply, that men deserve better.

Men United v Prostate Cancer. We can win this.

To help win the battle I am joining the London to Amsterdam Challenge with The Football League. To celebrate Prostate Cancer UK's second season as the Official Charity Partner of The Football League, I will be joining football legend Luther Blissett, talkSPORT and representatives from The Football League and their fans to take on the London to Amsterdam Challenge. As Steve McClaren would say "This time it's shherious!"

On the eve of the 2014 World Cup, I will be riding from one home of 'Total Football' (The Matchroom Stadium, Leyton Orient) to another, (AFC Ajax) and raising money to help more men survive prostate cancer.
