Since 2002, the Tag Rugby Trust has worked in 8 countries around the world. Post Covid, our focus is very much in Zimbabwe. We use rugby as a vehicle to “Build Futures” through social outreach programmes in the community. Sustainability and local ownership are central pillars to our approach.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

On the 9th July 2010 I joined other volunteers on a 2 week trip to Zambia to help the Tag Rugby Development Trust to introduce Tag Rugby to a number of children who have never seen or played rugby before. This was a fantastic opportunity to use my rugby coaching skills to help children in Zambia experience the joys of rugby. Thank you toeveryone who has donated.

This site has been set-up to help riase money for the charity.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting charity costs.

Pass-a-thon - on 26th June I undertook a Pass-a-thon to raise money for the Charity. The objective was to pass a rugby ball(s) as many times as possible in 60 minutes. Each pass had to be caught successfully and over 2M. With the help of many Beccehamian RFC members who I would like to thank for their support I achieved 4,306 passes.

As email access will be limited please go to the http://tagrugbytrust.co.uk/ web-site for periodic updates

Thank you, Nigel
