I  chose to run the Great North Run as it is somthing I have wanted to do ever since my university days in Newcastle - a long time ago now! I have decided to try and raise as much money as I can for a local charity based in Northwich called The Joshua Tree. In a nutshell they provide help and support for families with children which have life threatening illness. Their goal is to build a purpose built holiday house and support centre to give kids a taste of things they haven’t been able to enjoy for a while. They have already purchased the land required and planning permission has been granted so they are now relying on the generosity of groups and individuals to raise enough money to make it happen.
