I have been given the opportunity to do meaningful work in Mexico supporting three important causes in Playa Del Carmen: 1. Special needs education, 2. Child education and daycare and 3. Animal rights and population control.  Everyday, we work with passionate people who make a difference in the community with little resources and a small staff.  

On December 9, 2014, I picked up recyclable materials in our community to help raise money for these projects.  This event has had an impact in our community.  In Mexico, the government donates money to the poor with each recyclable material we give them.  Therefore this event will have a large impact to the projects, our community, and the Mexican low-income people

We need your help.  

You can help in two ways:

1.  Tell others about the cause.

Centro De Atencion Integral 

Impact:  In Mexico, very little attention and resources are given to special needs students.  They are segregated from other students and have to go to other schools that are often lower quality than their counterparts.  In addition, they are often put on a waiting list due to limited space.  Centro De Atencion Integral has certified teachers who:

 Provide physical therapy

Help with the students' academic development

Teach the needed skills for maximum integration into society.

Every month, the parents struggle to pay $1000 USD for their children to attend the school and get the attention needed.  They need your help. 

Item Needed:  Assistance with Scholarships ($500 monthly)

Ludoteca

Impact:  The Ludoteca provides a safe location for children and keeps them off of the streets of Mexico.  They provide free childcare to families who are unable to afford it.  In addition, the Ludo provides free lessons important issues they face here, such as child exploitation.  They also provide English classes.

Items Needed:

Footballs or (Soccer)- To help with agility

Coco's Cat Rescue

Impact:  There are many stray dogs and cats in the streets of Mexico.  They often have a challenging life and suffer from dehydration, starvation, and other dangers.  To reduce the amount of stray animals in the streets, this organization spays and neuters dogs and cats free of charge or at a discounted price.
