Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

Niki:

This climb up Kilimanjaro has been in my diary for years and I can't wait for the end of June to come, and to get going. Training is underway, the walking boots are worn in, and I've placed my order for 10 packs of cleansing wipes with Boots (you can never be too careful); but it's still not going to be easy.

For all the challenges I'll face along the way, I'd like to try and make a difference to someones life which is never going to be easy. I hope the little money I am able to raise can be used to help children less fortunate than myself.

The charity I aim to support is The Eileen McCallum Trust who provide financial support to families affected by Duchenne muscular dystrophy to ensure their sons have the equipment and care services they require for an improved quality of life. If you're interested, you can find out more about the work they do by clicking on the link to the right.

As soon as Nicola said she was doing this challenge, I started dropping hints. After months and months of this, she finally cracked so I’m now tagging along as a last minute addition. I think she’s found a particularly good cause so any support is much appreciated.

Thank you
