Midnight Walk 2013 · 29 June 2013 ·

Since 1988, St Luke’s has been providing specialist, palliative care and support to local people, supporting them in ways which go beyond the scope and funding of the NHS. Our support begins from the moment someone is diagnosed, through to palliative care and ultimately end of life care.

Story

In 1988 my brother Roger was diagnosed with a brain tumor,he was just 36. It was very sudden and within six weeks he was dead, he left behind his wife and three young children. My mum was diagnosed with Non Hodgkins Lymphoma in November 2006 and died six weeks later just after Christmas and my sister has CLL (Leukaemia).

My family has had it's fare share of tragedy, but lets face it whose hasn't been affected by this dreadful disease. It is so important that Hospices get the funding they need to be able to provide such vital care for the terminally ill.

I know times are really hard at the moment but if you can spare just a couple of pounds towards this fantastic cause it will make such a huge difference, thank you
