Story

Dear all

On Sunday 25th April I am going to be running the 2010 London Marathon and hope to raise money for Headway, a brain injury charity.

As some of you know my brother, Michael, suffered terrible brain injury after an accident in 2005 and against the odds has and is still making an incredible recovery. We were put in touch with Headway at a time when we really didn't know what to do and they helped us understand more about brain injury and what to expect.

I appreciate you will have been asked to sponsor other runners or already have donated throughout the year but if anyone would like to sponsor me a couple of pounds I would be thrilled and you will definitely help me cross the finish line!

Thank you so much for taking the time to read this.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

About the charity

EVERY 90 SECONDS someone in the UK is admitted to hospital with an acquired brain injury (ABI). There are many possible causes, such as a fall, a road traffic accident, an assault, a tumour or a stroke. A brain injury can happen to anyone, at any time. When it does, we're here to help
