Nikola, daughters Ruby and Bethany and friend Keith will be taking part in London Carrot Night Walk, raising money for Fight for Sight Charity. Fight for Sight funds pioneering research to prevent sight loss and treat eye disease.

Starting from the Iconic BFI IMAX, down the Southbank, passing by the Globe, HMS Belfast, St Pauls, Tower Bridge, the Gherkin, and many of London’s hidden gems and night time charms, we are sure it will be a night to be remembered.

Much of the challenge for Nikola and Ruby will be sight guiding Keith, particularly over that distance and length of time, providing environmental information of the various street furniture and hazards and perhaps some lively night life and unpredictable situations.

Keith is an experienced fundraiser and runner, raising money for various sight loss charities over the years, including Fight for Sight to support research and treatment with his own son’s eye condition. His own interest in health, well-being and keeping fit, had led him to become a Sports Massage Therapist.

So walking with very sensible shoes and armed with a few bags of carrots to help us on our journey, we hope to have great fun and raise some money to support much needed research and awareness of eye sight conditions and preventable sight loss.
