It took me about 10 seconds to say yes when Barry asked for volunteers to run to raise money for the young oncology ward at the Christie.  It's a cause dear to his heart and he's done so much to help them already he makes you want to get involved.  Take a look at his Facebook page and you'll see what I mean!

I'm gutted not to be joining the others at Manchester, but my marathon will be just as long and just as much fun. I'm joining a host of good friends to celebrate the 60th birthdays of Elaine and Sue, running 26.2 miles around the lovely Warwickshire countryside in their company.  Being able to raise some money for a worthwhile cause is just icing on the cake.
