We are raising money for Woman's Trust, a charity providing counselling and advocacy services for women affected by domestic violence and abuse.

Two women in the UK every week are killed by their partners. One in four  women has been affected by domestic violence. It is the most common cause of depression and other mental health difficulties in women. And its effects are felt by children and whole families. Woman’s Trust is unusual in providing services that address both the physical risk to women, and the mental damage, helping them to re-build their strength and re-take control of their lives.

Woman's Trust is now urgently raising funds in order to be able to continue and extend the work it does with affected women. We would appreciate any help you are able to give. And if you would like to join us in Victoria Park at 10.30 on the morning of 14 November, to walk/run or just to cheer us on, we'd be delighted.
