2K Plus International Sports Media is taking a team of journalists to Mozambique to report from a Christian perspective at the All Africa Games, 3-18 September 2011. We'll do this through interviews and reports and make them available to stations all over Africa. The aim is to introduce sports fans to Jesus Christ.
The sponsored Walk on Saturday 18th. June went very well from Worthing to Arundel. There were 20 of us - it rained a little and the wind was quite strong on the high parts of the walk. We enjoyed it and felt in our feet that we had travelled the 8 miles! The fund raising is in aid of supporting two of our African reporters that will join us in the All Africa Games project.
Thank you again for those who have contributed to the fund raising. This is very encouraging. We have now surpassed the £1000 target but still work towards the ultimate goal of £2500 which we will need to meet the overall costs of the two African journalist.
The two reporters are Solomon Ashoms from Johannesburg and Vivian Dinan from Mauritius. They are both experienced journalists who have in the past been with us on a number of projects. Solomon is an English language producer and Vivian is our French and Indian Ocean Creole producer. This week Adrian (2K Plus CEO) has been working with Vivian to try and get the most economical airfare from Mauritius to Johannesburg. From Johannesburg Vivian will be able to travel by car with Solomon to Maputo, Mozambique. Please continue to pray as we plan the reporting strategy for the Games in five languages. We're about to email the French & Creole speaking stations to find out how best to serve them. Thank you very much for your support.
