Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
In September this year, a few days before my 72nd Birthday, I will be part of a team cycling across Malawi to raise money for the British Urological Foundation which relies on donations to help fund its work..
It will be a challenging trip for a chap from Essex, averaging 95km a day, often on dirt roads and over very hilly terrain. On day 5 there is a 100km ride with a 700mt climb!
Urological disease is one of the most common causes of ill-health in the community, affecting more and more people of all ages and both sexes every year. The diseases include cancer, infection and inflammation of the prostate, kidney, bladder and testes, male infertility, erectile dysfunction and incontinence.
The aim of the British Urological Foundation is to improve the management of urological disease through the development and support of medical education and sponsorship of research – training healthcare professionals.
Thanks to friends and family I am well on the way to meeting my target, but would be delighted if you would consider donating to this event so that even more people will be able to benefit from the work of the BUS.
