We are there when it matters to support people through dying or grief.

Story

Dear friends and Brethren.   As my sponsored Ride of Rutland Water was a success in raising funds for a memorial vase for Andy Curl and a dedicated Chaplains Chair for Des Hancock, I thought it was time to bring out the new Trek bike into the sponsored ring.

Before the Lockdown Carol and I use to frequent  some of these cafe’s between Biggleswade and and St Neots areas  and returning will bring back fond memories.

St Johns Hospice Charity holds a “special fine flame in my heart for Carols memory”.  We both visited the day centre together every week where the people who organised and ran it gave us hope,  inspiration and a purpose to live our lives to the fullest.

Carol did enjoy the time she had left, not only being supported but helping others with similar medical conditions attending the centre.

Carol wanted donations given to such a charity to fund the  wonderful staff of St Johns Hospice Moggerhanger to enable others to have the support she received.

Therefore all donations received through this page will go directly to St John's hospice.

Sue Ryder is here to make sure everyone approaching the end of their life or living with grief can get the support they need. There is no one size fits all when it comes to how we cope and the help we need, but with our support, no one has to face dying or grief alone. We are there when it matters.
