We provide specialist care and support to life-threatened children & their family

Story

Over the last few years we have been raising the profile of our Drainage Board by carrying out   presentations to schools, Parish and Town Councils, and many similar organisations. This year as a completely different activity, not only to raise our profile but also more importantly to support a worthwhile local charity we applied to enter a team in the Peterborough Dragon Boat Race.  I am delighted to say that our team was accepted - “The North Level Drainage Dragons”.

This event takes place on Saturday 14th June at Peterborough Rowing Club, Thorpe Meadows and all money raised will go to the East Anglia's Children's Hospices.

Our Chief Executive has personally sponsored the entrance fee; therefore all of any sponsorship money raised will go to the children’s hospices.

Our team is made up of staff and employees of the Board and consists of 15 members, all of whom are raising sponsorship for this worthwhile cause and our aim is to raise at least £2,000.

You can learn more about the Dragon Boat Race and festival at http://www.dragonboatfestivals.co.uk/dragon-boat-festivals/peterborough-festival/ and follow us on the Boards website at http://www.northlevelidb.org./

We would be delighted to see you on the day as we will need all the encouragement we can get!!!
