Story
I didn't have diabetes as a child, I was 49 when I developed it, but sadly it is becoming more common - especially in young children and adults. JDRF are actively working to find new treatments, methods of prevention and hopefully, one day, a cure. There have been some tremendous advances made in recent years, with the prospect of even greater things to come, so your support is invaluable - thank you.

Now, I’m not Paula Radcliffe, she’ll be finished before I start!
And I may have diabetes, a broken leg and a dodgy heart,
But I thought this year that, maybe if I take account of that
Then perhaps I’ll finish before it’s dark in under two hours flat!
I hope you’ll all support me – I know I’ve asked before,
But JDRF may find a cure if you’d just give some more.
It doesn’t have to be a lot, they make each penny count,
And maybe if you all chip in we’ll raise a huge amount!
Many thanks,
Alan
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
