I'm fundraising for free medical care for the rural population of Bangladesh, who are greatly deprived of basic healthcare. I'm volunteering with the registered charity Selfless and leading a team of medical students to impoverished communities in Bangladesh. There, we will be setting up health camps and working with local NGOs and doctors to provide free consultations and basic medicines. A previous elective aid project saw up to a thousand patients a day in our health camps, many of whom were in desperate need of medical attention. Your donations are vital in this project and will pay for the running of the camps and stocking up on basic medicines. Our aim is to provide ongoing care to these communities by building long term connections with UK medical students going on their elective and local NGOs and medical professionals.
