UPDATE!! (24/4/10) A big thank you to everyone who has donated so far - we can't believe we're over our target already! This is just to say that any extra money left over after the drop-in refurbishment is complete will go into the general Off the Record pot, to help sustain their work with young people. Thanks again!
On 1st May 2010, we amateur adventurers (Lisa, Clare, Nat, Ash, Suz, Jane & Paul) are climbing Snowdon, the highest mountain in Wales, to raise money for Off the Record.
As you may know, Off the Record has been wanting to give its Bath drop-in centre a new look, so that it feels more welcoming for the young people who take the brave step to come for help. It's a shame if young people are being put off by first impressions, and those of you who have seen the stairwell will know that it's in need of some TLC! First-time drop-ins don't know what a friendly and approachable team are on hand to help - it's important that they feel this as soon as they walk through the door.
Off the Record has gathered young peoples' views and put a local decorator on standby to make the creative designs a reality. Now we just need to raise the funds.... So if you can spare a few pennies or blister plasters, we would really appreciate it!
