Story

Hi everyone, to begin with I just want to say thank you very much for getting this far and  taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

It started like this....... It was the night before christmas 2012, no, no, no, that's another story.

It was just before christmas though and  my lovely friend Lene called me to ask if I was up for a challenge. She did not want a run of the mill celebration for her 40th birthday and would I join her and some other friends on complete the three peak challenge?

To be honest with you, I had never even heard of the three peak challenge, let alone considered it. Despite brainstorming, you know, nice girlie weekend or jimmy choo shoes and the like, it would seem that Lene was intent on this crazy escapade.

She dressed it up and said it would be a good to tell the children and that I could do it easily. Clearly I have no self preservation genes,or respect for my feet, so I found myself agreeing.

So here we are with four weeks to go before we walk 26 miles across 3 mountain ranges. All in just 24 HOURS. Check out this link to see where I am going. http://www.thethreepeakschallenge.co.uk

So Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and snowdon look out cos here we come.

I am looking to you all now for support and cheer for the day I ruin my feet.

Four weeks ago we all got together to complete a seventeeen mile hike in Tring, the ridgeway. I say hike, but it was all coordinated by the lovely Matt, who is an Iron man and marathon extraordinaire. Wow, it certainly kept the pace up. Anyway, fabulous day, fantastic views and a lesson learned. Between us, blisters and blackened toe nails. I need bigger boots but all great otherwise. My only real reservation is the overnight thing. Everyone who knows me knows I am no night owl!!

I am soo looking forward to this. Bring it on. June 15th and 16th.

So there you have it. I am doing the hard work. All you have to do is drag your wallets to the computer or text OMPW72 to 70070. Press click and the pain is done. Simples.
