On 20th September I will be taking part in a 14 mile walk, in the Brecon Beacons, to help fundraise for Velindre Cancer Centre. (10/09/09 Update Due to the high number of entrants the organisers have reduced the length of this walk to 7 miles however I am still committed to raising funds for this worthy cause).

Velindre Cancer Centre is the largest non - surgical cancer Hospital in Wales providing Radiotherapy, Chemotherapy and other specialised anti-cancer treatments for over half the people of Wales

Between April 2007 and March 2008 Velindre Cancer Centre provided care, treatment and support for nearly 110,000 outpatients and day cases.

The money they receive allows Velindre to support patients and their families, and continue their ground breaking research programmes.
