Story
"More people under 40 die from brain tumours than any other cancer, but received less than 1% of the UK research funding."
Ojos Del Salado 2018 Expedition (“Ojos 18”) is an expedition to climb the tallest active volcano in the world! It is also the second highest peak in the southern hemisphere.
It is approximately 6,893m (22,615ft) high. (Although there are differing official figures) and is located exactly on the Argentina-Chile border, but we will be accenting from the Argentine side (which has less red tape!)
The expedition hopes to raise a money and awareness for Brain Tumour Research and ‘Kissypuppy’- the Sophie Rolf Trust, which were chosen after the expedition organisers lost two family members (Aged 6 and 31) to brain tumours in 2013.
