Myeloma UK London Paris Ride 2019 · 26 September 2019 to 29 September 2019 ·
Thank you for visiting my page. I'm raising money for Myeloma
UK and I'd be so grateful for your support.
Myeloma is a blood cancer arising from plasma cells. It affects places where bone marrow is active, the bones of the spine, skull, pelvis, rib cage, the long bones of the arms and legs, the areas surrounding the shoulders and hips and the immune system. Research is critically important because myeloma is a complex cancer with no known cure. Its also relapsing and remitting which means many patients are in desperate need of that next treatment. At any one time there are around 17,500 people living with myeloma in the UK. It accounts for 15 per cent of blood cancers, and two per cent of all cancers.
The big “C” word is scary and touched lots of us, it has no borders, but we must fight it! There are multiple ways to support causes we care for, I choose to challenge myself and join the Myeloma UK to cycle from London to Paris. It is going to be four days in the saddle and 500km (300 miles) on the road. Cycling is something that is completely new for me. I have no long-distance cycling experience, no real idea of what I am doing, but loads of motivation and drive.
Please help me by donating and supporting as much as you can to this exceptionally worthy cause.
Yours gratefully,
Olga
