My story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
My name is Olga Tseyukova & I learned to swim 2 years ago. I am taking the personal challenge to swim from Alcatraz island to the shore in San Francisco Bay to fundraise for Depaul Ukraine, a charity providing a safety net for street children, disadvantaged young people & homeless adults in Ukraine.
In the case of success I will be the first Ukrainian woman crossing the Bay. In order to succeed I do need your support- please donate to Depaul Ukraine to take hundreds of street children out of the streets. By every hryvna/ dollar/ pound/ euro you donated to Depaul you show me your support that is very important for me to keep going & achieve it.

I DID IT! :-) it took me 45 minutes to escape. Half of the way I was swimming against the current. My time is in top 10% results which is amazing!!! Thank you for all of you who supported! Still 27% to go
The swim is tomorrow- August 27th- pray for me people!
The waves and wind and currents near Alcatraz are horrifying! I saw a lady today who couldn't manage the swim and had to be rescued by boat. Please, God, I don't wanna be in her place tomorrow!!! I need our support so much! I need to know you are thinking about me!
I am in San Francisco- planning to train in the bay today to test the water. It was very choppy yesterday- it makes me worried
Loch Ness challenge is still on- if by Sept 01 I manage to collect at least 1 cent more then the target- I will swim across Loch Ness in spite of the Monster

It provides outreach and day centre services for vulnerable street children in Ukraine, accommodation and medical services for the elderly in Slovakia, as well as having over 50 projects in the UK, Ireland, and USA.
