Great North Dog Walk 2010 · 20 June 2010
PLEASE NOTE THAT THE DATE SHOULD READ SUN 13 JUNE 2010
The Great North Dog Walk holds the Guinness World Record for the largest dog walk in the world, the largest number of dogs completing it (with at least one human accompanying each dog) and the most amount of different breeds. It has held the record for the last 7 years.
It's a great walk, only 5kms, with lovely scenery and a fantastic atmosphere.
I am raising money for a very worthy cause - the Oldies Club, it's a national charity whose aim is to help older dogs find foster/forever homes. All the money raised goes towards the vet bills of the dogs in our foster care. We have dogs waiting to come into foster care and need more funds to enable us to help them. The charity is run completely by volunteers so none of your contributions are spent on salaries or other overheads.
I am very grateful for your support, every pound donated helps and this year we are struggling due to receiving less donations and taking in lots of dogs who have been very poorly - your support is helping us to continue helping these poor old dogs. I don't like to think about what would happen to these dogs if it wasn't for Oldies Club and your kind contributions. You can literally save a dog's life!!!! Bless you.
For more information on the Oldies Club, visit www.oldies.org.uk and see how you can help in other ways - perhaps you'd like to foster, or even adopt an older dog?
Thank you for visiting my JustGiving page. Donating is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe. Once you donate the money is sent directly to the Oldies and makes sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. Please dig deep and donate now.
