Story
Thank you for visiting my fundraising page.
Following the London Marathon in 2007 and the Windsor Triathlon in 2008, I thought it was about time I set about on a new challenge, so I signed myself up for the Nice to Cannes marathon, safe in the knowledge that I had done one before. Unfortunately, however, my untimely introduction to the working world has not coincided well with any serious form of training. Nonethless, in two months time I will be embarking on another (apparently hilly, if very scenic) marathon...
I am hoping to raise money for St Michael's Hospice, Harrogate. St Michael's provides care and support to patients, and their families, suffering from terminal illness in the local area. If you would like to find out more about the work St Michael's does, please click on the link.
As many of you know, Georgina lost her father, Jonty, to cancer last year. St Michael's offered wonderful support to Jonty and his family during what was an incredibly difficult time. I have therefore seen first hand amazing work carried out by the charity.
St Michael's has an annual funding requirement of £2.8 million, 80% of which must come from charitable donations. Please, therefore, help this fantastic charity so that it can continue to carry out its invaluable work. Any donation would be hugely appreciated.
Many thanks to you all
Olly
