Story
We made it! As a team, all 7 of us got to the top of Ivinghoe Beacon just before sunset on Sunday, 3 days and 90 miles from where we started.
Highlights:
-We all made it across the line as a team, we all worked for each other and couldn't have done it alone.
-Getting to know each other better, I now have intimate knowledge of my mates feet and where they like to apply vaseline
-Generally being ridiculous in order to make it through the 'darkness' of the post-lunch 10m slump
Navigation:
-we didn't get lost, as such, so I technically don't have any extra donations to make, but I'll put that down to copious signage and pay my dues anyway.
Thank you!
Thank you all so much for sponsoring, sharing, and caring about this little challenge. The work the Royal Marsden do is incredible, and we never know when we might need them. Your help is much appreciated.
Olly
Hi there,
I'm walking 87 miles in 3 days with a bunch of mates from the football team to celebrate our manager Matti's recovery from cancer. We're fundraising for the Royal Marsden Hospital because they did a brilliant job helping him to get better.
It's going to be a tough one. 87 miles is far enough for us to be worried we might not make it! But we'll certainly give it a good go, so thank you kindly for any donations you might like to make, it'll certainly help spur us on.
Cheers,
Olly
ps I'm in charge of navigating and I'll be donating an extra £10 for every mile I get us lost (could get expensive!)
