A huge THANKS to everyone who helped raise such a great total that exceeded our expectations by a mile! 

Due to conditions (and lack of fitness) the race was much harder than expected with lots of prolonged uphill stretches, lots of big puddles and plenty of deep sludge.

It was great fun none the less and I'll look forward to trying to beat my time next year!

My finish time was just under 1hr 6mins and 54seconds.

On the 7th  of December 2009 I will be taking part in my first ever organised 10km trail race,
The Sherwood Forest/ Edwinstowe 10km Christmas Trail Race.

I've been in training for this run for some time now, however due to recent events I'm taking this opportunity to raise some money for the Nottingham University Hospitals Charity following the treatment that Lindsey and I received during our visit on the weekend of the 31st of October.

The hospital staff were fantastic and made a very traumatic experience more bearable. We are both eternally grateful for their efforts and support.

I’ve chosen not to go into anymore detail as family and friends will already be aware of our situation.

Please do not feel pressured in anyway to make a donation, Lindsey and I will already be donating to the Nottingham University Hospitals Charity, plus two more charities including uk-sands.org.  Any additional money raised for the Nottingham University Hospitals will be a bonus.

We'd also like to take this opportunity to thank our family and friends for all of their support.
