Great North Run 2017 · 10 September 2017 ·
I have decided to take part in the Great North Run for Brain Tumour Research because I have been inspired by two friends of mine who have recently been diagnosed with brain tumours. Their stories made me realise just how undetected brain tumours can be with the symptoms often being mistaken for everyday common complaints. It is vital that we continue to raise awareness and fund research so that brain tumours can be identified as soon as possible and treated in the most effective way. My friends are two of the most hard working, kind, caring and self less people I have ever met and even now, during their own battles, are taking the time to help others going through the same. The positivity of you both has reminded me that no challenge is too big - which is why I will be going from couch to half marathon in the next 5 months!
Brain tumours really can affect anyone so please donate whatever you can - no amount is too small and every penny will be HUGELY appreciated and put to good use by BTR.
Thank you to Martin and Neil for being amazing and inspiring me to take on this challenge! :)
Thank you in advance for your donations.
Let the training commence!!!!
