Story
The Teenage Cancer Trust is a charity very close to my heart. Over the years the Royal Marsden and UCLH, which are two of the specialist units they have built and mantain, has enabled those I love to have a space to be teenagers despite any treatment they are going though. The TCT have 27 units and aim to build 7 more, this will enable all young people in the UK, including my lovely friend Lauren, being treated for cancer, to have access to the dedicated specialist support, no matter where they live.
Lauren was recently diagnosed with Hodgkins Lymphoma, a strain of cancer found in the Lymph system. Take a look at her YouTube blog, There’s a humor in my tumor. Lauren epitomises the philosophy of the Teenage Cancer Trust, as she shares in a lighthearted way her experience of fighting cancer, and chatting about her fun events with family and friends.
The support of charities such as the Teenage Cancer Trust really does make a huge difference to young people with cancer. However, the amazing work that the Teenage Cancer Trust do to fund research and specialist units, provide support to patients and their families, as well as raising awareness of the warning signs of cancer would not be possible without the funding from donations. So please, give what you can and sponsor my Three Peaks Challenge.
Thank you so much for looking at my page
